Food Journals (3-19-2009 & 3-20-2009)

Two-for-one today, as I was too busy yesterday to sit down and post. I didn't do well these past 2 days, either - I was a point shy both days and didn't drink near enough H2O yesterday. Needless to say, I woke up this morning feeling lethargic and bloated. Lesson learned, I dare say. Who would've thought that hydration was so key to increased energy and weight loss?

Food Journal - Day 19

I held all of my snacking points for drinking night with the gals tonight. I could use the gal time, what with living with a house full to the brim with males, and a margarita and 1/2 a beer sound like just the ticket to help me unwind!

Breakfast (6)
1 slice whole wheat toast
1 Tbsp. peanut butter
1 cup cantaloupe
8 oz. coffee
2 Tbsp. non-dairy creamer
2 tsp. sugar

Lunch (7)
Weight Watcher's Smart Ones Pepperoni Smartwich
1 cup Progresso Italian-style Vegatable soup
1 pear

Dinner (7.5)
1 cup pinto beans
1 slice jalapeno cheese bread
1/2 Tbsp. light margarine

Evening Snack (5.5)
1 margarita
1/2 a Heinekin

What's this? A non-weight related post!

I've been working on Monkeys this week. Socks that is, from this pattern that was featured on knitty.com. I used Sock Love yarn - spun & dyed by my dear friend the Craftborg. Alright, that takes care of all of the credits, I think... so onto the socks!

I am lovin' these babies - they are snuggly, soft, warm and absolutely made of WIN!

I've now cast on the Op Hat, a pattern I got on Ravelry. I'm using Knit Picks Swish DK in Hollyberry and Maple Leaf, and a set of US/5 16" Knit Picks Harmony circulars.

I'm not overly thrilled with the yarn at this point. On my monitor the Maple Leaf looked to be a lovely orange that would offset the Hollyberry. In reality? It is red. Very red. Cherry red. It doesn't look bad, in fact it's very interesting. I just had my heart set on orange and burgundy...

I was actually giving myself a "splurge" day today. You know, a day to eat out with the hubby and not worry about going a little over on points. Once I got home and saw that I could stay on track with what I had eaten, however, I changed my mind; so, in the end, I ended up meeting my points, drinking my required amount of water, and getting to treat myself. How's that for a winning situation?
